Waynetown July 10 - William Grenard, 80 died at his home here Monday afternoon at 2:45 o'clock following a short illness caused by a fall two weeks ago in which he suffered a fractured hip. His age was partly responsible for inability to recover from the injury. His death came during the funeral of his wife, Rebecca Grenard who died Saturday morning at 3 o'clock. Mr. Grenard was born near Waynetown July 27, 1847 the son of Jesse and Mary Mayers [Sayers?] Grenard. He was married in 1877 to Rebecca A. Murray. He was a member of Waynetown Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge and had lived all his life in this community. Surviving are one half brother, charles B. Grenard of Waynetown; two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Graves and Mrs. Julia Rusk both of Waynetown and one half sister, Mrs. Mary Hays of Indianapolis. Funeral services wil be conducted from the Waynetown Bpatist Church Wednesday afternoon at 2 in charge of Rev. Cletis Brown. Interment will be made in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
